WordPress 2.5 is now available!

WordPress 2.5 “Brecker” has been officially released!!! Get it now!
And I have upgraded! Congratulations, all you WordPress developers and testers (that kinda includes myself!) for contributing to this awesomely wonderful project!
WordPress.org has updated their site interface to match WordPress 2.5’s as well, and I think the new site looks so much cooler

WordPress 2.5 release delayed

First, they delayed the release of WP 2.4, and now they’re at it again with 2.5. No, they aren’t canceling it and moving on to 2.6 (that’d be painful), but rather, the release date has been pushed by a week. The funny thing is, in case you haven’t noticed yet, 2.5 has seen neither beta [...] Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

Gravatars available in WordPress 2.5 by default!

Gravatars have been integrated into WordPress 2.5’s core, thus eliminating the need for a plugin! I knew this would come, seeing that Automattic bought the Gravatar service last October.
Right now, BoltPress already uses the Gravatar plugin (link above) provided by Tom Werner, the guy who first invented Gravatars, so upgrading wouldn’t make too visible a [...] 2 comments. Read the complete article »

1000 spam comments

Even when my blog is inactive, spammers still loiter around my posts and rain spam on them every so many hours or days. Basically Akismet caught its first thousandth spam comment for BoltPress. Is this really an achievement worth bragging about? Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

Where is NOVALISTIC… 3.0?

NOVALISTIC 3.0… may have to be put to rest. Or rather, it has been put to rest.
I have officially halted development of NOVALISTIC 3.0. Yes, the entire site. Why is this happening?

Why is 3.0 being halted?
It’s a really long story. It all boils down to stress and school, really. I’ll probably explain this in some [...] Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

WordPress 2.3.2

WordPress 2.3.2 is now available. This release contains some critical security bug fixes.
The fixes are further detailed in the dev blog. One fix stops WordPress from accidentally revealing your future and draft posts. Another keeps some parts of WP quiet so they won’t spill the beans on your database credentials and such. WP 2.3.2 also [...] Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

7 days to NOVALISTIC 3.0!

I’ve put up a simple Flash timer on NOVALISTIC’s front page to count down to the official launch of NOVALISTIC 3.0! Now, you might think I’m a little too excited, but hey, it’s a site!
So I’ll see you again in seven days while I work doubly hard on NOVALISTIC’s code… and I’m not even a [...] Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

No more blog.NOVALISTIC tutorials

Since NOVALISTIC’s tutorial section is more than halfway there (I know I’m slow, but whatever), I don’t wish to write anymore tutorials for blog.NOVALISTIC. Well, there are two unfinished tutorials. I might finish the one on PHP loops and publish it either later today or tomorrow or some other day before the end of 2007.
Future [...] Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

Spam Filter Free Day aftermath

So I never got to figuring out why comments were still being put in the moderation queue. And I also forgot to turn my plugins back on at 7:15 pm yesterday. I’m such a muddle
Anyway, I went to count the spam that rolled into my blog during those 24 hours and… there were [...] Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

Spam being dumped into the mod queue

OK, this is getting absurd. I discovered last night that spam was being dumped into the moderation queue instead of being allowed to taint my posts and blog. And couldn’t figure out why. So now all spam is living in my moderation queue, waiting to be marked as spam.
Damn, I blew it this time. Guess [...] Comments are closed. Read the complete article »
