Unexpected downtime

Well, yesterday NOVALISTIC experienced an unexpected downtime which lasted almost the entire day, since morning SST. Right now since there isn’t much about NOVALISTIC, I don’t think too many people would be frustrated to see the site down besides Dad and myself.
Yes, I’m not very happy about the seriously long downtime, but because it’s my [...] Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

Sandbox designs and IE6 support

I have a feeling that I should get Potassium and Bromine (and my future Sandbox designs) to at least mostly if not fully support IE6. After all, these are CSS (and sometimes image) designs, meaning the Sandbox theme’s template HTML should remain completely intact.
Currently, Potassium and Bromine work in all browsers but IE6, with IE7 [...] Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

It’s CSS Naked Day!

Happy CSS Naked Day! Today we commemorate and celebrate web standards (XHTML, XML, CSS and more) by stripping our sites and blogs completely naked on this day to show what it’s like to use semantic, valid markup and have our browsers do the rest.
For WordPress we have the CSS Naked Day plugin, and don’t worry [...] Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

Argh, I thought I’d missed CSS Naked Day!

I thought I missed it because I had left the CSS Naked Day plugin deactivated and suddenly remembered that it was April 5! Should’ve known I forgot something significant… I’d reminded myself from the First that CSS Naked Day was yesterday but I just had to forget yesterday.
I just checked the official site and it’s [...] Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

April Fool’s? Think not.

Psst, just so you know, since the main NOVALISTIC is currently inactive (read: dead), I shan’t play any April Fool’s joke this year… Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

WordPress 2.5 is now available!

WordPress 2.5 “Brecker” has been officially released!!! Get it now!
And I have upgraded! Congratulations, all you WordPress developers and testers (that kinda includes myself!) for contributing to this awesomely wonderful project!
WordPress.org has updated their site interface to match WordPress 2.5’s as well, and I think the new site looks so much cooler

WordPress 2.5 release delayed

First, they delayed the release of WP 2.4, and now they’re at it again with 2.5. No, they aren’t canceling it and moving on to 2.6 (that’d be painful), but rather, the release date has been pushed by a week. The funny thing is, in case you haven’t noticed yet, 2.5 has seen neither beta [...] Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

Gravatars available in WordPress 2.5 by default!

Gravatars have been integrated into WordPress 2.5’s core, thus eliminating the need for a plugin! I knew this would come, seeing that Automattic bought the Gravatar service last October.
Right now, BoltPress already uses the Gravatar plugin (link above) provided by Tom Werner, the guy who first invented Gravatars, so upgrading wouldn’t make too visible a [...] 2 comments. Read the complete article »
