I don’t wish to speak about the new features because I don’t want you to take my word for it. Check them out yourself by grabbing a beta copy. But I shall admit that even as an open source and Apple fanboy, I am truly excited for Windows 7. I’ll even call it the next Windows 98, because it’s that awesome. It’s certainly a major improvement over Windows Vista, the biggest mistake in the era of desktop operating systems.
As for whether Microsoft might just make a comeback with Windows 7… I’ll leave it for you to think about it yourself 
I hope windows 7 would do much better than Vista

I’m very positive that Windows 7 will do much better
Windows Vista doesn’t even match up to Windows XP… not even with Aero.
