Give up on IE 6 - what 37signals did is great, and I surely hope as many as possible will follow. I surely will!

You have a point there about IE8. Except I’ve been doubting it lately, because it’s already a beta and yet there are still so many broken components. I’d think it to be of alpha quality right now.

But since Microsoft has made the promise of a standards-compliant IE8 and are serious about it this time, most of the issues should be fixed in due time.

My WordPress theme, Thistle, was the last of my designs to support IE6. I’m glad I’m not going to do it anymore.

I think the point definitely has been reached in which IE6 should be forgotten about and simply move on with the times. In just a month or 2 the second beta of IE8 is already scheduled and IE7 has been available long enough.

For me with my last redesign it also was a notice I made for myself, just forget about IE6 in the future. Not worth the hassle.
