What happened to spam comments here?

About this post: No spam in the blog for weeks? I don’t know about you, but at least there’s not much that could be suspicious about this. Or could it?
Just something I’ve noticed quite recently: my WordPress dashboard has been telling me this:
Akismet has protected your site from 1,166 spam comments already, but there’s nothing in your spam queue at the moment.
That means there have been completely no spam comments being poured onto my blog for at least a couple of weeks, since Akismet keeps spam in the queue for fifteen days before purging them.
I’m not sure if this is something really good to know or something is going on that’s stopping all comments from coming in… no, I should rule out the latter, as this blog is still receiving pings and legitimate comments just fine. Hmmm… if there really isn’t anything wrong then I should be happy, for now when there still isn’t any spam coming in.
Oh and just so you know, over at my blog @ WordPress.com, there is spam regularly trickling in once in a little while and Akismet is happily catching them all.
