Jeff Chandler (of Jeffro2pt0) posted a list of three underrated WordPress plugins at Weblog Tools Collection, the last of which caught my eye, No Self Pings.
The No Self Pings plugin stops your WordPress site from pinging itself when you link to, say, older posts. If you were getting annoyed having to clean up after WordPress, this plugin will save you a good amount of time.
Personally I haven’t found self-pinging a problem, but since this plugin is around I thought I’d install it for my own use.
You might notice that I actually use self-pinging at dev.NOVALISTIC. Well, that was the only use I had for self-pinging, so I embraced it even more so.
