WP 2.5 will be delayed… again?

What?! WordPress 2.5’s release will be pushed FURTHER?! Well, that’s what Peter Westwood speculates, at least. Oh well, I’d rather wait for as many bugs to be squashed as possible instead. I am a very patient boy. Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

Akismet library for CodeIgniter

Akismet has let us know of a CodeIgniter library to allow developers to welcome Akismet to their CodeIgniter sites. The library is available for download from none other than Elliot Haughin’s blog, which incidentally is a WordPress blog! Ah, you just gotta love these subtle but significant connections…
I also made an Akismet library when I [...] No comments. Read the complete article »

WordPress 2.5 and Potassium

I hate to nag, but please note that Potassium is a Sandbox design. Just CSS and images. All the template markup is provided by the Sandbox theme. That means you can’t come to me for any WordPress 2.5-related theme issues unless it’s a CSS-related issue (perhaps a change in CSS class or something) because I [...] No comments. The funny thing is, in case you haven’t noticed yet, 2.5 has seen neither beta [...] No comments. Read the complete article »

A first look at IE8 beta 1

OK, Microsoft said that IE8 would be standards compliant by default. The first beta of the browser has just been released, and it seems to be available for Windows XP too! That’s a good sign but I don’t know whether it’ll remain available for Windows XP when it enters production state. This beta was released [...] No comments. Read the complete article »

IE8 will be standards-compliant by default

This is very late, but as the adage goes, it’s better late than never…
The Internet Explorer development team has FINALLY decided to make IE8 render according to W3C standards by default!
Now, you may be thinking, hot damn that’s gonna be a long wait, and when will IE6 be finally phased out? Well, the latter question [...] No comments. Read the complete article »

Gravatars available in WordPress 2.5 by default!

Gravatars have been integrated into WordPress 2.5’s core, thus eliminating the need for a plugin! I knew this would come, seeing that Automattic bought the Gravatar service last October.
Right now, BoltPress already uses the Gravatar plugin (link above) provided by Tom Werner, the guy who first invented Gravatars, so upgrading wouldn’t make too visible a [...] 2 comments. Read the complete article »
