Yes I’ll be dual blogging… again
Oct 15
BoltPress has a pretty poor readership, I can definitely understand, since this blog is pretty new, barely half a year old. So I turned to other means of communication to ask about dual blogging. And after asking some of my friends IRL over MSN about this matter, I’ve decided to once again return to dual blogging.
In the next few hours or days I’ll be removing all posts, tags, links, etc pertaining to my life from this blog and transfering them over to my WordPress.com blog. The two blogs link to each other in their blogrolls so don’t sweat it. If you’re one of those who is linking to BoltPress, if you feel so inclined you may add both links (or even one to NOVALISTIC as well!) to your blogroll (format/reword as necessary):
<!-- This, if you know me IRL -->
<a href="http://boltclock.wordpress.com">Daniel (life)</a>
<a href="http://blog.NOVALISTIC.com">Daniel (web)</a>
<!-- Otherwise this -->
<a href="http://boltclock.wordpress.com">BoltClock/WP.com</a>
<a href="http://blog.NOVALISTIC.com">BoltPress</a>
Sorry to make things this awkward/troublesome. Then again, it’s your choice which to link to.

Your Google ratings will probably plummet - Google hates duplicate content with a passion. Of course, that may be offset by having a wp.com blog, but this site will probably sink even lower in terms of referred visitors…
I help run a group horror blog. We have a short URL and a long URL; originally when we moved from blogspot.com, I had the long URL site set up as a mirror and our Google referrals sank like stones. Once I set up the long URL to be the only site and had the short URL be a 301 redirect (with .htaccess handling redirects to specific pages), our Google karma came back up.
Just FYI.

I’ve already told Google to not crawl my WP.com blog so I don’t think there should be any adverse effect. Thanks though. And I have no idea why your URL returns a 412 so I’m going to have to delink your URL from your comment. However, I’m able to enter your site through my own address bar. I’ll just list your URL here: http://blog.protectedstatic.com
