I’m on board the U3 bandwagon

Yes, Dad gave me his 4GB U3 SanDisk two days ago. Two days, because I forgot to blog about it on Sunday, and I wasn’t in a mood to write about it yesterday.
So now you know. And that means a backup harbor for my Flash (which as of today amounts to 1.31 GB incidentally), NOVALISTIC, [...] Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

One spammer. One post. One Akismet.

Apparently the spam is continuing. It’s either because JavaScript was used to insert reCAPTCHA, or the spambots actually managed to defeat reCAPTCHA which is nearly impossible. There hasn’t been any bandwidth surges either. No comments. Read the complete article »

Installed reCAPTCHA

I’ve just installed the reCAPTCHA WordPress plugin since Akismet is getting pretty tired of all these robots spamming BoltPress. I mean, all I receive every day are between 5 and 10 comments, 100% of which are spam comments. At least I’m helping to digitize books as well
EDIT [7:31 pm]: Meh, thought this wouldn’t [...] 6 comments. Read the complete article »

XHTML 1.0 or 1.1?

Ever wondered what the hell the major difference between XHTML 1.0 and XHTML 1.1 is?
Never you mind those Transitional, Strict and Frameset DTDs for XHTML 1.0, but let’s consider these two version numbers. What made the dudes at W3C devise XHTML 1.1? No comments. Read the complete article »

Sorry for [...] No comments. Read the complete article »

WordPress Bits today posted an interesting article (among all its interesting articles) to show you how you can get started getting to know WordPress inside out. That is, its source code. Also worth reading is last week’s post on WordPress’s database. Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

Upgraded to PHP 5

NOVALISTIC’s servers have just been upgraded to PHP 5.2.3! Actually I would’ve waited till PHP 5.2.4’s release (currently it’s at its first release candidate stage) but never mind. Thanks, Ben! Comments are closed. Read the complete article »

HTML5? Elementary, my dear W3C

Ever since the WHATWG decided to pick up on development of the good ‘ol HTML that hasn’t been worked on for over eight years (since HTML 4.01), the web designer and browser community has been getting pretty noisy. Right now, things are gonna take a TIGHT turn. A good turn, perhaps, for the semantic Web. No comments. Read the complete article »

Happy 42nd National Day to all Singaporeans!

That’s exactly forty-two years of independence!
This is going to be an excellent day, even if I’m unable to attend the National Day Parade. You should read the rest of this post for, um, my National Day dedication. No comments. Read the complete article »
