Happy 42nd National Day to all Singaporeans!
Aug 9
That’s exactly forty-two years of independence!
This is going to be an excellent day, even if I’m unable to attend the National Day Parade. You should read the rest of this post for, um, my National Day dedication.
Had it not been for how safe you are, how developed you are, how clean you are (well, actually…), how small you are, how diverse your population is, how red your flag is, and just what kind of a nation you are, I wouldn’t have had lived in the first place. I’m really proud to be Singaporean.
Sadly, I haven’t had time to animate a music video for 2006’s National Day theme song, ‘My Island Home’. I’ll put it on hold for 2008. Two years late, but it’s still my most favorite National Day song (both of this year’s songs suck hard and are so short). But I’ll make sure I put in my utmost effort to make the music video an awesome and meaningful one. You have my word
Remember FBF Randomness - NDP ‘05? I still do. I feel silly having done only an FBF Randomness installation for such a nice song. And to the reader, it doesn’t matter whether you’re from Singapore, but I do hope you enjoy FBF Randomness - NDP ‘05 and the rest of the series. Which reminds me, I haven’t done anything in nearly two years…
I love you, Singapore. Happy 42nd birthday, and to human readers, happy school holidays — and more importantly happy National Day! <3
