On Friday, June 29, at 12 noon (EDT), the Free Software Foundation will officially release the GNU GPL version 3.

My thoughts

w00t. Just w00t.

Free software is going to be so much better, and more free. I’m proud to have accepted free software (now that I think of it… who wouldn’t?) in the first place — I’m enjoying every moment of it!

When GPLv3 is finally out, I think the city of Boston will be really noisy and happy as they unveil the license and it becomes free to use by any software. Awww, I really wish I could be there :( It’s OK though, I can always celebrate from home… by myself.

Go Go Gadget Free Software! Sorry, dumb Insp. Gadget cartoon reference.
